My therapist filed claims under the wrong insurance provider. Am I responsible for the previous payments? - insurance claims jobs

My therapist is someone whose job it is designed specifically for insurance claims. The back of the cards is that my mental health claims other than a company. I did not know that and took the lady of my therapist's office 6 weeks to resolve this problem. Should not read my card and noticed 6 weeks ago? I called and the company will pay after 9 / 29 - later this year. Am I responsible for the last 6 weeks?

To determine if this woman did not return the bills under the law of the insurer. Talk to your therapist about it. This lady does not seem to have done their work, as it should be done. I hope that everything goes well for you. Good luck.

This answer applies to the United States, which I am familiar with the practice of health care and procedures.

If the office of your provider (therapist) in your insurance plan to participate, is the subject of a contractual obligation with the insurance claims timely file. For insurance, also have Blue Cross / Blue Shield Association, provider a year to make a claim. Meaning: The doctor has sent one years from the date of application to the appropriate location.

Bottom line, call your insurance company. Let them know what happened and ask them if they asked for medical assistance before charged. Do questions about whether there is something special in the office of the therapist in order to obtain the loans went to the wrong place correctly processed. Your insurance representatives have access to their services and know-how to help.
